My time as an intern at POW Marketing has been a really positive experience. One thing that surprised me was the people who work in business and marketing. Before I started, I thought most people in those fields would be very serious and focused all the time. Instead, I found that many of them are outgoing, energetic, and easy to talk to. In some ways, they remind me of theater kids because they are comfortable talking to people and expressing themselves. It made me realize how important communication and networking are in the business world.
The work itself has also been different from what I expected. It is not as intimidating as it seems from the outside. As long as you are willing to put in effort, learn new things, and ask questions, there are plenty of opportunities to grow. I’ve learned that there is always something to take away from an experience if you’re open to looking at it from a different perspective.
One of the most interesting parts of my internship has been seeing the different kinds of people who apply to work at POW Marketing. Listening to interviews and looking through resumes has been surprisingly inspiring.
Everyone has a different story, different experiences, and different goals. Seeing how much people have accomplished and how hard they work toward their futures has made me think more about my own goals. It has motivated me to aim higher and take advantage of opportunities that can help me grow personally and professionally.
This internship has given me a better understanding of the marketing industry and the people who work in it. More importantly, it has shown me the value of staying open minded, building connections, and continuing to learn. I’m grateful for everything I’ve been able to experience and learn during my time at POW Marketing.
